Musicals on my iPod

I’ve just back from holiday, and apart from the 2 shows I saw on Broadway (A Chorus Line and Gypsy), my only musical theatre sustenance has been via my iPod. And given how much time I’ve been spending listening to them, I thought it might be worth sharing some of my favourites with you. So, in alphabetical order, here are 7 CDs that I’d recommend, one for each day of the week…

Broadway dispatches…

2 days into my trip to the US, and we’ve seen 2 Broadway shows. The prices over here no longer seem as ridiculous as they did a few years’ back – I guess that’s a combination of a great exchange rate and massive inflation on ticket prices in London. But anyway, I’m on holiday, so who’s counting!

The Friday musical round-up: 8th August

Despite being in the midst of the summer, things still appear to be happening in the theatre world. This week there’s 1 new show opening, a couple of transfers and some casting news and rumours.
